Dr. Heidi Olivadoti, Ed. D.
Founder and CEO Professional Education Resources seeks to inspire great teaching and leadership by providing high quality mentoring and professional development. Heidi's goals are four-fold: 1) Increase engagement, instructional effectiveness, and joy in the classroom, 2) Encourage and empower innovative teaching, 3) Capitalize on strengths-based approaches, intrinsic motivation, positive psychology, and self-determination theory to optimize educational experiences and outcomes, and 4) Build capacity for hope and happiness in every aspect of life-long education.
Heidi holds degrees from Pacific Lutheran University, Southern Oregon University, and George Fox University. Her teaching experience spans three states and 27 years in Washington, Oregon, and Alaska. She has taught elementary school, served as a Title I Math and Language Specialist, taught at Southern Oregon University, and served as Director of Teacher Education at Warner Pacific College. Heidi has extensive experience mentoring first and second year teachers using New Teacher Center protocols. As a mentor and university liaison, she's been associated with the Oregon Mentor Project for the past 9 years in collaboration with the Oregon Department of Education and Southern Oregon Mentor Consortium (SOMC). She currently serves as a School Improvement Specialist at Southern Oregon Education Service District and Director of SOMC. On a personal note, Heidi enjoys a busy family life with her husband and three kids and many pets (a white lab and five cats!). In her off time, she likes to hike, travel, write, play, ski, get organized (a never-ending pursuit), and explore topics related to positive psychology, faith, and spirituality. |
